Rachel Lyn

Today I got to do my second ever newborn photo shoot, to be honest I was disappointed, Rachel is an adorable little girl and was so sweet, but it was a yucky weather day and the light was just not there! I tried to lighten the pictures in this program but they are a bit grainy the down side to living here is the cold really makes for less out door photo opportunities, Newborn babies are hard to take photos of!!! (I have once again learned) I think I need to shoot for 1 week old babies this is the second time the baby has been almost three weeks old and they move soooo much! Rachel was so fun to practice on Thanks Rebecca for letting me play!

Ok- so here are some of my very favorite shots, I just LOVE my little Ryan kicking his little toes in the leaves, he was just so adorable!!! It was so much fun  to do this today! 

Fall Pictures of the Kids

I took these pictures in the yard of a lady who lives up the street from me, I drive past this tree at least four times a day. (See the beautiful orange tree in the background) I love the colors of this tree and for the three falls that we have lived here I always thought it would be a beautiful background for pictures. Well this is our last fall here, so I got my camera and took some great picture of the kids (great because I love these faces!!!).

So, I have my very first ever new born shoot, I'm so excited and nerves I can hardly contain it! My friend Micky is having a baby boy, (she has not actually had him yet) but I'm trying to prepare as much as I can, I got a back board and some velvet back fabric and created my own studio for a whopping $9 bucks! gotta love wal-mart. So I was testing it out, and trying to find the best places (and time of day) for light in my house. This was fun to do, but he us a pain sometimes, rolling over all the time, spitting up (on my new fabric!!!) and so energetic!!! he does not do well at pretending to be a newborn, and it was a big realization to me that he is not one anymore, I love my sweet baby boy, but is is officially a baby not a newborn. 

Sunrise 2

I did another attempt at the sunrise this morning, I really need to get a good wide angle lens to get the shots that I want, but this is good practice anyway. It really is beautiful! I love doing this and I know this will not be the last shots I take of the sunrise.

I got up this morning to photography the sunrise, it was a great experience, although I want to do it again, every sunrise it different, I have seem ones with tons of colors and puffy clouds. So I hope to catch one of those some time.
